Tuber melanosporum, called the black truffle, Périgord truffle or French black truffle, is a species of truffle native to Southern Europe. It is one of the most expensive edible mushrooms in the world.

They have a strong, aromatic smell and normally reach a size of up to 10 cm (3.9 in)

The Aroma is fruiting bodies of the black truffle exude a scent reminiscent of undergrowth, strawberries, wet earth or dried fruit and chocolate

Ingredients:
 
1 fresh black truffles (Tuber Melanosporum)
1 tablespoons butter
1 Extra Black truffle sauce 2 tablespoons for person

Instruction:
 
Heat the oil and butter and the extra black truffles sauce in a large frying pan over medium heat until the butter foams. Add the minced truffles, and cook, stirring often, until fragrant, about 1 minute. Remove the pan from heat and set aside.
Cook the pasta, and transfer directly into the reserved frying pan. Add one ladle of cooking pasta  water into the pan and toss over medium heat until the sauce thickens slightly.
Remove the pan from heat, add the truffle sauce, and toss until the pasta is well coated. 
Serve and  slice the remaining truffles over the pasta.

Recommended uses: Cut, mince and toss with pasta; stir into a finished risotto dish; mix with olive oil to top bruschetta; fold into mashed potatoes; add to a butter sauce, fish, seafood, or chicken; shave over scrambled eggs or an omelet.

Where do you source your fresh truffles?

We work with truffle hunters sourcing fresh truffles from Umbria, Italy and nd other uncontaminated territories in Italy for white truffles like Marche, Piedmont and Toscana, where the natural ecosystem allows the development of the most valuable Truffle species. Our truffles are imported twice in week during their peak seasons. 

How to store fresh truffles?
Fresh Truffles are best eaten as soon as possible. We suggest no more than 5 days, because they begin to lose weight and lose their freshness.  When you receive your truffles, we suggest you immediately wrap them individually in kitchen paper and place in an hermetic container, and change the paper every day. 

Should I Store My Fresh Truffles in Rice? 

We don't suggest storing fresh truffles in Rice because it absorbs too much humidiy, making it dry faster. 

How do you determine the quality of the truffles you choose? 

Our truffle selection process is very strict. What determines the quality of truffles is a combination of the variety of truffle, the time of year, the macro and micro climatic conditions, and the skill of the local hunter.

How long does it take to receive my delivery of fresh truffles?

What are the best ways to use fresh truffles?

Enjoy your truffle raw (it’s considered a sin to cook the culinary gold!), thinly shaved directly over of a finished dish. We recommend about four or five grams per person. Best grated or sliced with a truffle slicer directly on to food and into sauces or soups, just before eating.
